Embraer E190/E170 Series Chapter 38 Water and Waste Systems CBT (Computer Based Training) Training
The water and waste system installed in the aircraft supplies the spigots and coffee makers in the galleys, lavatory sinks and toilets with water from a potable (drinkable) water tank.
The used water (so-called gray water) can be drained overboard. The waste from the toilets will be collected in a waste tank and emptied on ground by a service truck. The water system is pressurized by air.
The WWSC and VCU monitor and control the components of the systems of the potable water, vacuum waste, gray water and air supply.
The controllers interacts with the aircraft aft FAP (Flight Attendant Panel) and power systems.
