This video is about the Boeing 777X, the 777-9 and 777-8. With the 777-9 expected to have its first flight soon, it is a good time to actually compare this new updated 777 to the older 777-300er that has been the workhorse for many airlines over a long period of time. I will also be covering the highlights of the 777-9 first flight so definitely do stay tuned for that video. In the meantime, stay tuned to the channel!

  • The 777x is the 3rd generation of an aircraft series that still has new 2nd generation aircraft in both passenger and freighter models being delivered adding to the over 1,600 aircraft already delivered.

As the 3rd generation, it is that next step for 777 operators to replace older aircraft (777, 747-400 and even a380’s and a340’s)

As far as delays due to the next generation engine, GE has no intention to end up like Rolls Royce paying billons to repair engines that were later discovered to have flaws once in service.

    • Vaililigi Tuilagi Thanks for your feedback! I will certainly not use such music in my future videos! Though I guess Apple also needs to improve their music selection then…

    • angelo t Thanks for your feedback and I will certainly use other music in my future uploads. If you have not done so do consider subscribing and stay tuned for more great weekly videos!

    • @dennis yr Thanks for your support. Well I guess it divides opinion but then Apple is a controversial brand when it comes to the music they use in their ads… Anyway thanks for watching and if you have not done so do consider subscribing for more great videos coming in October!

  • Sad that 777 9 will replace ALL British airways 747s,and British airways has more 747s than any other!,Sad!

    • CrazyGamer_399 Thanks for your question. Well the -300er variant is still a good aircraft and some will probably still be produced though in the future majority of 777s produced will be the 777x variant. Thanks for watching and if you have not done so do consider subscribing and stay tuned for more great weekly airplane videos!

    • Abraham Camacho Thanks for your comment. Yep that would be so cool to see, the 777 is certainly the best Boeing after 747 and just like 747 is has a solid reputation. So maybe when 777 reaches 50 years old we will see a epic formation flight 🙂 Thanks for watching and if you have not done so do consider subscribing and stay tuned for more weekly comparison and airplane videos!

  • I'm not even 15 yet, but it's amazing to see how Boeing is developing technologies. It's so cool to be witnessing aviation's golden age. I live a few minutes away from Paine Field, where Boeing's Everett Plant is. I also sometimes see traffic heading into and out of Seatac, and even 737 MAX test flights, rarely. It's really interesting to see how Boeing is integrating stuff they've learned from previous aircraft like the 747-8 and 787, and continually inventing new stuff. I absolutely love watching major aviation history unfolding in front of my eyes!

    • RailfanReaper Thanks for your comment. Well I think it is great that US youths are really into aviation as it is a great hobby. Boeing is certainly a pioneer in aviation technologies and the competition between Boeing and Airbus would only spur both companies to do even better! Thanks for watching and if you have not done so do consider subscribing and stay tuned for more great weekly videos! (yes I am 15)

    • @Active Ayaan Thanks for your comment. Well both are certainly innovators in the aviation industry and the competition between both pushes them to create better aircraft! Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more great weekly videos!

    • Ced 1 Thanks for your feedback. Many have said the same and in my future videos I will avoid using music like this! Though I Guess Apple does not have a good taste in music either then. Thanks for watching and do stay tuned for more weekly aviation content!

    • Zak Browne Thanks for your comment. Well many have also said the same and thus for my future videos I will change the fonts. Thanks for your feedback and do stay tuned for more great weekly aviation videos!

    • It's not the font it's the contrast. If both background and text are same color, you won't be able to read. Try using white letters and black background.

  • A quoi ça sert de faire gros et géant?? Pour écraser la concurrence et pourtant à force de vouloir écraser et surtout gagner on arrive à des âneries momumentales

    • German R Thanks for your support! Well it is great to have a pilot subscribe to the channel. Which aircraft type are you training to fly on?

    • AirplaneProductions TV thanks I am training on the 737 but hopefully I’ll fly the 777 some day I also love to fly the da40 a ga airplane

    • Rahul583GT Oh wow! Thanks for letting me know. I thought the GE90-115B was the most powerful so in fact the GE9x is even more so despite burning 10% less fuel. What a leap in technology indeed. Thanks for watching and fi you have not done so do consider subscribing and stay tuned for more great weekly aviation content!

    • Donald RockJr Thanks for your feedback. many have said the same and I do appreciate the criticism. Certainly look forward to videos with better music in the future! Thanks for watching and if you have not done so do consider subscribing and stay tuned for more great weekly aviation videos!

    • cing earth cingearth Thanks for your comment. Yup there have placed an order for the 787-10 though it will be interesting to see what will replace their 777-300er in the 2020s. Some claim that Boeing has shown them a -10er with added range though the A350 product is a better replacement in my opinion. Thanks for watching and if you have not done so do consider subscribing and stay tuned for more great videos!

    • Andy Thanks for your feedback. Yep many have said the same, I will not use such music in my future videos. Sorry for the music in this one… Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more weekly videos!

  • Qatar Airways has both 777-300ER and A350-1000. I flew on both on the same round trip. The Boeing was far quieter. It was not even close! If they make the next generation even quieter, that will be amazing. Being able to drop to a lower thrust engine will further reduce the cabin sound.

    • Oh my god I flew on an a350 Malé to Doha, couldn’t hear a single thing. Then flew a 777-300ER Doha to London and it was so SO loud….

    • @Zizork Yeah I thought the 777-300er is smoother than A350 and slightly more spacious though it is one of the louder aircrafts out there. Hopefully the new GE9x engines on 777-9 will improve things though the A350 sets new standards for passenger comfort. Thanks for watching and if you like this video do consider subscribing and stay tuned for more great videos!

  • I'm curious to know how much flight testing has been done on these 777x planes and whether the bugs have been identified/fixed? The last thing we need is another 737-Max situation!!!

  • I Love Boeing 777-300ER Good GE90 Engines Good Seat Comfortable is a Good Quality and Old Aircraft in Passenger But Working.

    • peterk814 NOT funny at all !!!! It is about the delivery dates !!!! And the 777-9 Has not flown yet !!! GE found a problem with the engines !!!! First engines back at GE for modifications !!!! !

    • Wilbur Finnigan I meant funny in that this video makes claims about how much better the 350s are and yet airlines are still replacing 777-200 and 300s with newer 777-300ERs over 350s

    • @peterk814 The 777200 777-300ER are a prove reliable safe plane !!! It has been proving itself for well over 20 years !!!!

  • Cabin width = 10cm wider, throw in another 45cm seat… she'll be right…
The future of airtravel is worse than the present.

    • Mark Carrier Thanks for your comment. Well everyone has different opinions though I compare aircraft based on their performance and cabins for passengers as well as the number of orders they get. At the end of the day, airlines will order the aircraft that they think is best so that is one good way to judge the capabilities if the aircraft. Thanks for watching and if you have not done so do consider subscribing and stay tuned for more great videos!

    • How can you really compare? 777x is not even out of the testing stage. I look at the 777 now and the AirJunk 350 now and still wouldn’t put it in the same category! They call the Boeing 747 the queen of the sky, well the 777 is the King of the sky! Boeing is going through tough times and have kicked AirJunks ass for years! They will again if everyone will leave them alone when they get back to normal!

    • The Human Instrument Thanks for your comment. Yep it is a update of the classic Boeing 777! Thanks for watching and if you have not done so do consider subscribing and stay tuned for more great videos!

    • Mafix Sure you are welcome! Thanks for watching yet another of my videos and stay tuned for one more coming soon!

    • Harold Yeoh Thanks for your comment. Well generally seats even no legacy carriers are getting cramps though the reality is that economics matter much more to airlines. Thanks for watching and if you like this video do consider subscribing if you have not already done so and of course stay tuned for more great videos!

    • Alucard Thanks for your question! Well the 777x is a very capable airplane but it is no longer the revolutionary new efficient aircraft that the 777-300er was when it was first introduced. The 777x faces though competition with the A350 and is many years behind schedule. The 777-300er series on the other hand was a winner in its segment and beat the competing A340-600 at the time. In my opinion, the new A350-900 is the perfect airplane right now for today’s market with its perfect range and size complying with market demands as well as a impressive cabin. Thanks for watching and if you have not done so do consider subscribing and stay tuned for more great videos!

    • Shunpo Thanks for your comment. Well this was an interesting one but it is great to see that some likes the music though some did not. The aircrafts are great as well 🙂 Thanks for watching and if you have not done so do consider subscribing for more great videos on the way in October!

    • West Falchuk Thanks for your comment. Haha well we are both aviation geeks I guess. Thanks for watching and if you have not done so do consider subscribing and stay tuned for more videos coming next week!
