    • @NowGetThere A friend is an FA on American Airlines. He says they serve champagne in plastic. Because in an emergency if slides are deployed passengers have to go barefoot and broken glass woud cause injuries.

    • Air Canada now serves their pre-departure drinks in real glasses on their new Signature Service. Shortly before takeoff, the flight attendant would come by to see if any passengers have unfinished drinks. Those with unfinished drinks are offered to have their drinks transferred to a plastic cup.

    • Interesting safety procedures from American Airlines. I've been luck so far and never had to leave the aircraft by the emergency slides! I do prefer my Champagne in a real glass 😉

    • Yes there are so many new modern business class pods which are very comfortable. I did read Qantas are in the process of upgrading their A380 Business class to the same seats on their A330s and Dreamliners. They are great seats so look forward to the upgrade.

    • Classic Qantas salad – ;). hahahaThere were a fair few people in the Qantas Singapore Lounge but I would not say busy. They got lots of staff there and the lounge is huge so doesn't feel busy. 😉

  • I'm not being funny…. but don't you think it's a bit much to take your shoes off at the seat where everyone has to smell them? The plane hasn't even left the ground and your making yourself right at home…. To be honest, I'd probably ask to move seats… I'm at 6:43, I have a feeling your a dirty traveler.

    • Honestly I don't think it is a bit much. My shoes don't smell and alot of people in business class take their shoes off. I see people 'making themselves at home' in the business class cabin all the time.

    • Always a good idea to keep your shoes on during departure or landing for emergency reasons. Between that – enjoy and relax. I always take my shoes off btw

  • As an Australian I refuse to fly Qantas because I feel they think it’s OK to offer inferior products and services and still the charge the same if not more for a ticket then SIA, Qatar, Emirates. To be on QF A380 with over 10 years old seats, with no inflight bar, no showers, no wifi and poor amenities is very disappointing.

I would highly recommend Qatar or SIA they are the definition of business and first class. The service on Qatar is what you will get ( if lucky) on Qantas first class.

    • Well said. There is a huge disjunct between what QF charge and what they offer. Smart travellers get better value from Singapore Airlines and Qatar Airways when travelling to and from Australia. Better seats, better layout, better food, just better……everything!

  • wonderful of plane qantas a380……esse vôo foi maravilhoso e exelente……parabéns a empresa areia qantas…..kiss…..abraços….LM
