In light of the impact the current Pandemic is having on the aviation industry, Qantas announced that they will be sending the majority of their A380 aircraft into long term storage. The first to go was VH OQE, it departed Melbourne yesterday (06/07/20). The current word is that it may be kept there for up to three years and also that it may never return to service again. It was dull day with a dull feel seeing this aircraft fly into what could be a premature retirement. I was glad to capture the moment though feel saddened at the plight of this aircraft. Qantas has 12 A380s in their fleet. Cheers and Take care!
