What you can expect if you fly Delta Airlines economy class from Athens to New York JFK.
A negative Covid PCR test was required by all, including those who are vaccinated, in order to board the flight, due to US entry requirements (as of July, 2021 when this was filmed). Since I was traveling out of Thessaloniki before taking this flight, I obtained my Covid test at the airport there, where they were nice enough to even let me film it. In Athens, the negative Covid test result was asked for at the check-in counter, so have either a screenshot, your email itself, or a printout of your test result, and be sure it matches your name on your passport, or whatever other identification document you’re using to board the flight.
The flight itself was ok. One big disappointment was my IFE screen being broken for most of the flight, and the 2nd meal service was one of the worst I’ve had in quite a while (the first was good at least). But otherwise a standard trans-Atlantic economy class flight on an Airbus A330-300.
