The Coronavirus has dramatically changed the airline industry. Many aircraft types that had years of service left have already been retired or will be soon. After taking the final American McDonnell Douglas MD-80 flight, it was my goal to take as many of these flights as possible. Sadly, that opportunity was taken away from so many of us by this virus. One of the aircraft types that American Airline rushed into retirement was the Airbus A330-300. The fate of the A330-200 is still unknown, they have also been stored “indefinitely”, but there is a chance they’ll return. Just to be safe, I included both types in this video. Since I was not able to fly on their last revenue flights, I decided to put together a small tribute featuring footage I have accumulated over the last few years. It’s not as good as being on their final flights, but it’s something. Enjoy the video and be on the lookout for other tributes to other aircraft types soon.
