This flight from Canberra to Moruya was to build my familiarity with the flight path and airports at both ends, in preparation for return to regional face-to-face neurosurgical consulting. The departure from Canberra’s international airport was via Runway 35, over 3km long (wow!). I only needed 150 metres of that 3000 metres! As you can see, it’s a beautiful view over the ranges to the ‘Sapphire Coast’. One of my good mates picked me up from the airport for breakfast, before I flew back to Bankstown direct. He kindly filmed the take-off, saying it was as “smooth as silk”.
