In early 2021, the Minnesota-based Cirrus Aircraft delivered its 8000th unit from the SR Series, which has been in production for over twenty years, and made the company the world’s largest producer of piston-powered aircrafts. Revealed in 2017, Cessna SkyCourier is reaching the final stages of its development and is planned to start production by the end of this year. It gets two modifications. After only twelve months of development, this joint project between Daher, Safran and Airbus has successfully passed the Preliminary Design Review phase. Daher EcoPulse is a hybrid-electric aircraft, based on the Daher TBM airframe with Pratt and Whitney Canada PT6 turboprop front engine and a Safran-developed distributed hybrid-propulsion system.
