We strip the Jodel bare for its annual inspection. It’s always a slightly nerve-wracking exercise as we’re never quite sure what we’ll find underneath…
As we expected, we will have to have 2 of the cylinders repaired. It is the same problem as we had with the number 1 cylinder last year… losing compression through the exhaust valves.
Fortunately I’ve been able to keep flying thanks to quite a few Wingly flights, using the DR400 and the C172.
In this video we take a look at some of the maintenance work on the Jodel, and I’ve added some shots of my Wingly trips.
