Check out this short hop from Augsburg, Germany to Hohenems, Austria. Hohenems is just behind the German-Austrian border and offers AVGAS relatively cheap for the region. It’s also a good stop on the way south and they have a nice Italian restaurant. However, the runway is short with its 2067ft and surounded with terrain. So, you have to be careful on a hot day with a heavy load. For us it was not problem that day to take full advantage of the cheap fuel, since we were only two in the aircraft.
