At the end of last month Embraer delivered the first Phenom 300E, to South African businessman and long-time customer John McCormick.

The handover came just over five months after the launch of the “enhanced” light jet, which is now 9 years old.

We spoke to head of interior design Jay Beever at NBAA last year and here are his thoughts – and accurate prediction – about the aircraft.

E stands for Enhanced – and the jet features a revamped cabin, plus improved seating designed by Embraer Aero Seating Technologies in Titusville, Florida. Lufthansa Technik supplied the high-end in-flight entertainment and cabin management system.
