Home ยป WEAVING THROUGH CLOUDS IN A CIRRUS SR20

The plan was to fly to Lichtenberg West of Johannesburg. It’s a 95 nautical mile jaunt, with interesting approach usually birds fly up from the nearby corn fields and nearby, there’s a huge cement factory with high towers to keep an eye on as you overlfy. I decided to fly low level which meant no flight plan – that also meant I couldn’t climb above the clouds which had dropped to the mountains below. Caught out, it meant turning around and returning to Lanseria.
