Here’s a student pilot demonstrating an Emergency Descent in a Cirrus SR20. When demonstrating this maneuver, I limit the descent rate to -4000 fpm to save my ears. If we’d reached the Vne limit of 200 knots, I imagine the descent rate would be much greater. The student pilot flying did great. One area for improvement: I’d suggest getting the nose to -15 degrees pitch sooner. Otherwise, it was an excellent demonstration.
