I’m a former Susi Air pilot, instructor and manager, and I’m making a series of tutorials on the Caravan SOPs. These Standard Operating Procedures are specific to Susi Air, however are similar to most other Caravan operators.

Please LIKE and SUBSCRIBE for more videos from my channel.

Also please consider buying my book, “Papa Kilo: A true story from a Susi Air pilot in Indonesia”, in the end of the video. This was a book which I wrote myself, from back in the days when I was flying Cessna Grand Caravans with Susi Air in Indonesia.

If you’re interested aviation, or even just like adventure, please consider buying my book. If you’re unconvinced, just check the reviews here:

    • In this scenario, yes, as it's a big runway. The PF will keep their hand at the top in case of an RTO, whilst the PM fine tunes the power using the base of the power lever. For short strips however, only the Captain will have their hand on the power lever. In this scenario, an RTO will be solely their decision.
